Introduction
RegDefense 2011 is a registry cleaner created by the company xionix – Today you will find out how it compares to other registry cleaners.
Ease of Use
RegDefense 2011 is simple to use because of the following reasons:
- Detailed instructions, and descriptions, are provided throughout different areas of the program
- Easy access to help using a button in the upper-right corner
- Registry cleaning is done using a step-by-step wizard: just click “Start Scan” to begin the process.
- Navigation and interaction made easy by the intuitive and standardized interface layout.
Despite the previously mentioned positives, RegDefense has a colour scheme of grey, white and green that detracts from its visual appeal. Furthermore, some people, especially vision impaired, will find themselves getting out the magnifying glass because the font is too small.

Performance
RegDefense found 84 registry errors in 48 seconds on the first scan. I added 180 more registry errors and scanned again but it found zilch, nothing. Based on these test results, RegDefense appears to be a useless registry cleaner as it did not find even 1 registry error that I added.

The FAQs are well constructed and helpful, having answers on things like "Is RegDefense compatible on 64-bit computers", "How RegDefense works?", and another half dozen FAQs.
I've tested the quality of the RegDefense email support, by filling out the contact form with a fake installation error, at http://www.regdefense.com/contact.php. It took two days to receive a reply, which is unimpressive. Furthermore, the instructions provided by email support were wrong: considering I emailed them regarding a fake installation problem not a registration issue.

Conclusion
RegDefense is an ineffective registry cleaner, and that is putting it nice, as it found zero registry errors in our Benchmark Test. It also has some interface pitfalls, the only extra tool is a startup manager, and email support gave incorrect instructions. In short, don't get RegDefense.
