Introduction
Carambis Driver Updater is advertised on its website as “A revolutionary tool...” – this is hype as it’s only a Driver Updater, the misuse of the phrase “revolutionary” is annoying.
Ease of Use
Carambis Driver Updater’s interface is user-friendly as the design is intuitive and simple. The tiny size of the “Help” button, and the lack of instructional text, is a problem.

A serious flaw is the lack of Driver Backup and Restore features; it is unsafe to use as you cannot reverse any Driver Updates using Carambis Driver Updater.
Performance
Carambis Driver Updater took longer than I expected to scan for Driver problems, 1 minute and 41 seconds, and I thought it froze at one stage as the progress bar did not move for a long time. It only located 4 out of date drivers, I know for a fact that the test laptop (a Toshiba Satellite M100) has over a dozen more outdated and missing drivers.
Overall, Carambis Driver Updater is a terrible driver management tool as it missed around 80% of the driver problems.

I pretended to have an installation problem and contacted Carambis Support at http://www.carambis.com/support/ask.html, and received a reply on the same day. The response I received lacked technical aptitude as it assumes I know how to attach a screenshot. The reply was:

Overall, email support responds quickly, but the contents of the reply could be better.
Conclusion
Carambis Driver Updater was tested on a laptop that was intentionally plagued with around 20 odd missing and outdated Drivers. Carambis Driver Updater located only a measly 4 driver problems – failing to provide driver updates for around 16 drivers. In brief, many better driver management tools are available.
